The Sounds of Nashville:
A City's Music, Past & Present

Nashville's connection to music is unequaled, and its reputation as Music City USA has been a constant for the past 200 years.  In this course you’ll explore the events that established both Nashville's robust live music scene and its influential music industry.  You’ll visit places where songwriters, artists, producers, and musicians from all decades and genres left their mark.   (Your tuition includes admission to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and the Historic RCA Studio B where music giants like Elvis recorded.)

You’ll discover how Nashville thrives today all the while experiencing a city where music is written, recorded, and performed every single day.  In Nashville, music isn't just part of the culture, it is the culture.

Your instructor:  Jenny Casey is a fan of music and Music City. A singer-songwriter, tour guide, former school teacher, and mother of four, she's performed all around Nashville, the US, and overseas. Her musical experience includes doing session work in studios to live comedy improv songwriting, and just about everything in between. She loves Nashville, and continually enjoys learning and sharing its musical history with people from all around the world.
