How It All Began

Learning Across America began with one simple belief: that travel is one of life's greatest teachers. Before founding Learning Across America, our founder was both a host mom and an au pair counselor. During that time, she met many au pairs who dreamed of seeing the places they had only read about or seen in movies. She realized that travel could become one of the most meaningful parts of an au pair's year when combined with learning, shared experiences, and cultural exchange.

Those early trips weren't just about sightseeing. Au pairs from different countries shared meals, exchanged stories, laughed together, and discovered America through one another's eyes. Those moments became the inspiration for everything we do today.

More than 35 years later, that same idea continues to guide every course we offer.
