There is an important new National Park entry requirement affecting our Southwest tour experience.
As of January 2026, the U.S. National Park Service introduced a policy requiring non-U.S. residents to pay an additional $100 surcharge to enter some of the country's most visited national parks, including Zion National Park and the Grand Canyon. Park rangers may check identification at park entrances to determine eligibility.
If you have one of the following:
A valid U.S. state-issued driver's license
A valid U.S. state-issued ID card
A U.S. National Parks Annual Pass, along with a valid state-issued ID or driver's license
You will not need to pay the additional surcharge.
IMPORTANT: You must bring your qualifying ID and/or annual pass with you on the trip.
If you do NOT have a U.S. state-issued ID or driver's license:
We will arrange your park access through a shared America the Beautiful Annual Pass.
Annual Pass: $250
One pass can be shared by up to 4 guests
Cost per guest: $62.50
Learning Across America will pay half: $31.25
Your cost: $31.25
Learning Across America will arrange the shared passes for guests who need them. Your $31.25 portion will be collected closer to the tour date.
What do you need to do?
Please complete the form below and indicate which situation applies to you.
If you are unsure which option to select, or if you expect to obtain a state-issued ID or driver's license before the course, please let us know.
Thank you,
The Learning Across America Team
