One of the most magical events for me was SUMMIT One Vanderbilt. I still can’t breathe! I’m so grateful for this time.

What You’ll Learn

What makes America iconic? Is it famous landmarks, cultural traditions, unforgettable experiences, or the ideas that have shaped the nation?

In this course, you'll explore the people, places, symbols, traditions, and experiences that help define America and how it is experienced and understood. Along the way, you'll discover how New York City reflects many of the themes that have become iconic in American culture, including diversity, ambition, opportunity, and reinvention.

    • Before you sign up for any course, double check class times (both online Zoom and in-person) as well as the time zone according to which the class will be taught.  Make certain that the class times do not conflict with your work commitment to your host family.  If the times conflict, this is not the course for you.
