New York City has been shaped by generations of people from around the world. During the holiday season, that diversity is reflected in a city filled with lights, traditions, celebrations and seasonal magic.

Your tuition includes memorable New York City experiences — plus everything you need to complete all 6 credits.
A welcome lunch with your group on Saturday.
A 7-day unlimited MetroCard, valid on New York City subways and buses.
Admission to the celebrated holiday production featuring the Rockettes.
Admission to the immersive skyscraper experience above Manhattan.
Explore New York City neighborhoods, landmarks and holiday traditions with a knowledgeable teacher and guide.

Course Schedule
In-person December 5–7, 2026. All times are Eastern time.
Self-Paced Online
Your journey begins with a flexible, self-paced online module available starting in October. Complete the activities and shared assignments at your own pace, whenever they fit your schedule.
Completing the online portion before your trip gives you more free time to explore New York City.
Know Before You Go — Zoom
Meet your teacher and classmates, review the plan and get answers to your travel and course questions. Delete this entire card if no Zoom session is included.
New York City Holiday Experience
In-person New York City touring experience. Students may store luggage at the meeting point and retrieve it after class; a fee applies.
Holiday Traditions Across the City
Continue exploring New York City’s neighborhoods, landmarks and holiday traditions with your teacher and group.
A Final Day of Holiday Magic
Complete the in-person New York City touring experience by attending a performance of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Before leaving the city, reflect on the cultural traditions that help shape it.

Tuition Details
Use Your Host Family Education Contribution
Most au pairs receive up to $500 from their host families to use toward their education requirement.
- Many students choose to apply this contribution toward this course.
The tuition price does not include the following:
- Airfare to/from New York City
- Accommodations
- Meals other than the Saturday welcome lunch
Earn Your Towson University Certificate
Once you successfully complete the course, you’ll earn 6 credits / 72 credit hours.
Your Certificate of Completion will be issued by Towson University, an accredited post-secondary institution, typically within 10 days after all course requirements have been completed.
You’ll have up to three weeks after the course to complete and submit your post-course assignment. The sooner you submit it, the sooner we can begin processing your certificate.
Cancellation & Transfer Policies
We understand that plans sometimes change. Your refund, course-credit or transfer options depend on how far in advance you make the change.
If You Cancel
If You Cancel Your Course Enrollment
- 22 or more days before the first class: Full refund.
- 21–11 days before the first class: Full refund less a $50 cancellation fee.
- 10–6 days before the first class: No refund. Instead, you’ll receive a Learning Across America course credit equal to the tuition paid, less a $75 cancellation fee. The credit is valid for one year from the date of issue and is transferable.
- 5 or fewer days before the first class: No refund or course credit is available.
Transfers
Transfer Your Place to Another Au Pair
If you need to cancel, you may transfer your enrollment in the same course to another au pair at no charge, provided Learning Across America receives notice at least 3 days before the course begins.
Move Your Enrollment to Another Learning Across America Course
- 22 or more days before your original course: No transfer fee.
- 21–11 days before your original course: $25 transfer fee.
- 10–6 days before your original course: $50 transfer fee.
- 5 or fewer days before your original course: Transfers are not permitted.
How to Cancel
Email Learning Across America directly from the email address of the enrolled student. Please use “Attention: Cancellation of Course” as the subject line.
